INCIT and TÜV SÜD strengthen partnership through joint initiative to set up SIRI training and examination centres in the Middle East region.
Wednesday, 6 March 2024, Singapore – On 22 February 2024, the International Centre for Industrial Transformation (INCIT) and TÜV SÜD in the Middle East officially signed the agreement to set up Smart Industry Readiness Index (SIRI) training and examination centres in both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and Bahrain.
The partnership agreement was formalised through the signatures of Dr. Jesmond Hong, Chief Operating Officer of INCIT, and Mr. Mostafa Jassim, Deputy CEO of TÜV SÜD Middle East.
Expanding our outreach
In an era of rapid technological advancement, the need for innovation and adaptation in manufacturing processes has become increasingly pronounced and critical in our society. The establishment of SIRI training and examination centres in the region provides industry professionals and consultants with enhanced access to specialised training programmes and examination facilities tailored to their unique needs.
Manufacturers looking to start, scale, or sustain their digital transformation journeys can look forward to tapping into the increasing pool of assessors in the region to assist them in gaining profound insights into their overall Industry 4.0 readiness level, having strategic and tailored transformation roadmaps created in alignment with their business goals and objectives, key areas to prioritise for improvements, and the next steps to take in their transformation journeys.
This collaboration also sets the stage for future collaborative efforts between INCIT and TÜV SÜD to set up Consumer Sustainability Industry Readiness Index (COSIRI) training and examination centres in the region, which will focus on driving sustainability transformation and help manufacturers embed sustainability into their organisations across all levels.
Fostering innovation within the region
Successful transformation requires a deep understanding of future-ready manufacturing components. Equipping industry consultants and manufacturers with Industry 4.0 knowledge can help to foster a culture of continuous improvement. This can strengthen the region’s position as a hub for technological advancement and industrial excellence as manufacturers continue to unlock new avenues for growth and competitiveness.
Moreover, embedding sustainability practices into manufacturing processes not only enhances operational efficiency but also reduces environmental impact. By integrating sustainable practices into Industry 4.0 initiatives, manufacturers can minimise resource consumption, decrease waste generation, and mitigate their carbon footprint, thus contributing to environmental stewardship and long-term viability.
The ripple effects of enhanced manufacturing capabilities extend beyond economic prosperity to societal development and job creation. This expansion also reflects a commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in manufacturing practices, ultimately driving sustainable economic growth.
Sharing a shared vision
The continuous collaborative efforts between INCIT and TÜV SÜD demonstrate a shared vision and commitment of driving innovation and sustainable development in the Middle East. The expansion of SIRI training and examination centres in KSA and Bahrain represent a significant stride towards accelerating manufacturing transformation. By providing manufacturers with access to specialised resources and expertise, this collaborative initiative paves the way for sustainable growth and prosperity in the region’s industrial landscape.
