INCIT conducted a COSIRI Assessor Training Class in Mauritius, marking a significant milestone in expanding sustainable manufacturing practices across the region. The session brought together 19 industry professionals from the manufacturing sector, including representatives from textiles, paints, chemicals, logistics, and even legal services; all eager to deepen their understanding of sustainability in industrial manufacturing.
The participants gained valuable exposure to Consumer Sustainability Industry Readiness Index (COSIRI) and its practical tools and frameworks. Designed to assess manufacturing facilities across 24 sustainability dimensions, COSIRI helps organisations identify key opportunities for improvement on their journey toward Net Zero.
Delivered as part of the Certified COSIRI Assessor Programme, the training equipped attendees with foundational knowledge in sustainable manufacturing, along with an understanding of assessment facilitation and strategic roadmap development. These capabilities are critical for driving real, measurable change in manufacturing operations.
As COSIRI continues to expand globally, this session in Mauritius reflects the growing momentum among industry leaders to prioritise sustainability and take tangible steps toward industrial transformation. Learn more about COSIRI.
