Introducing SIRI
Manufacturing is in the midst of its next revolution. The digital age has ushered in a new era for manufacturing, known as Industry 4.0. This paradigm shift offers global companies the chance to enhance productivity, flexibility, and speed for newfound competitive advantages.
Endorsed by the World Economic Forum (WEF), the Smart Industry Readiness Index (SIRI) is the world’s first independent digital maturity assessment for manufacturers. It comprises a suite of frameworks and tools to help manufacturers – regardless of size and industry – start, scale, and sustain their manufacturing transformation journeys.
Our Methodologies
Lead Framework
Transforming and upgrading a manufacturing facility is not a one-off exercise. Rather, it is a continuous and iterative process. This is encapsulated in the LEAD Framework – a circular, continuous four-step process that all manufacturers can adopt in their approach towards Industry 4.0 transformation.TIER Framework
To formulate effective Industry 4.0 transformation roadmaps, prioritisation is a crucial exercise as it helps companies identify business areas where improvements will generate the most value. The TIER Framework outlines four critical principles as part of a holistic prioritisation exercise. Manufacturers can use these principles to focus resources on activities that yield the greatest benefits. The SIRI Assessment Matrix is the world's first Industry 4.0 self-diagnostic tool, designed to balance technical rigor, usability, and relevance. 6 ascending bands are tied to each of the 16 SIRI dimensions, with each band describing a specific state within that dimension. This provides a snapshot of a manufacturing facility's current Industry 4.0 maturity level, known as the Assessment Matrix Score. Successful transformation requires a deep understanding of future-ready manufacturing components. The SIRI Framework comprises three layers including three fundamental Industry 4.0 building blocks, eight key pillars crucial for future readiness in organisations, and sixteen dimensions for evaluating current Industry 4.0 readiness in the company’s factories or plants.Prioritize Matrix
The Prioritisation Matrix is a company-specific, directional tool designed for management planning. It considers three key factors: cost, top key performance indicator (KPI) categories, and a company's proximity to industry best-in-class. These factors derive from four inputs aligned with the prioritisation principles of the TIER Framework.

Holistic View
A digital maturity assessment is a strategic evaluation that focuses on three critical dimensions—processes, technology, and organization—allowing businesses to gauge their readiness for digital transformation.
-
Processes: This dimension examines the efficiency and effectiveness of current operational workflows. By mapping out processes, organizations can identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and areas ripe for automation. An assessment in this area not only reveals opportunities for improvement but also highlights best practices that can be standardized across teams. This leads to streamlined operations, enhanced productivity, and the ability to respond quickly to market demands.
-
Technology: Evaluating technological infrastructure is vital for understanding an organization’s capacity to leverage digital tools and platforms. This assessment involves analyzing existing software, hardware, and data management practices to identify gaps that may hinder innovation. By pinpointing outdated systems or insufficient capabilities, organizations can prioritize technology investments that align with their strategic goals. This proactive approach ensures that they stay competitive in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
-
Organization: A successful digital transformation hinges on organizational culture and readiness. This dimension assesses the alignment of leadership, employee engagement, and skill sets with the digital vision of the organization. By evaluating communication practices, collaboration tools, and training programs, organizations can foster a culture of innovation and adaptability. Identifying areas for development ensures that employees are equipped with the necessary skills and mindset to embrace change, ultimately driving the success of digital initiatives.
Conducting a comprehensive digital maturity assessment across these three dimensions provides a clear understanding of an organization’s current state and future potential. This insight enables businesses to develop targeted strategies that enhance their digital capabilities, improve customer experiences, and drive long-term growth in a competitive market.
