The Ministry of Finance, in collaboration with Qatar Development Bank (QDB), recently hosted a significant event in Qatar focused on digital transformation and Industry 4.0. This event brought together industry experts, thought leaders and decision-makers from across the globe to discuss the future of industries and commerce in Qatar. INCIT is proud to have participated in this event, contributing to the ongoing dialogue and efforts to propel Qatar’s industrial and technological growth.

Fostering Innovation through Strategic Partnerships

Four men seated on stage for a panel discussion on global technology trends and advanced manufacturing.

Dr. Jesmond Hong, Chief Operating Officer of INCIT, participated as a panelist in the Global Technology Trends & Advanced Manufacturing discussion. Along with other industry experts, Dr. Hong shared insights on the latest technological advancements and how these trends are impacting the future of manufacturing. Together, the panel highlighted the importance of adopting digital transformation and Industry 4.0 technologies to improve efficiency and innovation within the manufacturing sector.

In addition, Dr. Hong also signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with QDB during the event. The agreements are part of QDB’s ongoing efforts to support Qatar’s manufacturing sector, facilitating partnerships that promote technical and operational development, benefiting the private sector and contributing to the country’s economic diversification efforts.

QDB Adopts SIRI to Support Digital Transformation for SMEs

In line with Qatar’s vision to drive digital transformation across its industries, QDB launched its Digital Transformation Initiative to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) assess and improve their digital readiness. A central component of this initiative is the Smart Industry Readiness Index (SIRI), developed by INCIT. This framework enables companies to evaluate their digital maturity and identify areas for improvement in adopting Industry 4.0 technologies. Through SIRI, businesses gain valuable insights into their current capabilities and the steps needed to enhance their competitiveness in an increasingly digital market.

By incorporating SIRI into its broader initiatives, QDB is supporting the digital transformation of Qatar’s manufacturing sector and contributing to the country’s goal of building a digitally driven, resilient economy. In addition, QDB offers financial support through the Digital Grant, which funds early-stage startups, and the Digital Loan, providing low-interest loans to SMEs. These efforts aim to help businesses integrate advanced technologies, improve efficiency, and strengthen Qatar’s industrial ecosystem.

Together, we are contributing to Qatar’s broader goals of technological innovation and economic growth.
