The International Centre for Industrial Transformation (INCIT) and MEXT, Türkiye, have signed a Strategic Collaboration Agreement to expand their existing partnership and help Turkish manufacturers move faster on their transformation journeys. The agreement was signed on 2 October 2026 by INCIT Chief Operating Officer Dr. Jeesmond Hong and MEXT General Manager Mr. Efe Erdem.
The agreement builds on an established collaboration. Through it, MEXT has applied the Smart Industry Readiness Index (SIRI) and the Consumer Sustainability Industry Readiness Index (COSIRI) to help Turkish manufacturers assess their digital and sustainability maturity and identify priority areas for transformation.
The new phase focuses on two priorities: wider engagement with Türkiye’s manufacturing community, and the use of artificial intelligence to speed up transformation outcomes. As manufacturers face growing pressure to digitalise, meet sustainability expectations and adopt AI, many find it hard to know where to start and which solutions fit their needs. The partnership aims to close that gap by linking assessment insights to the right technology and solution providers.
What the agreement covers
Under the agreement, INCIT and MEXT will:
- Reach a broader manufacturing audience in Türkiye through joint webinars, knowledge-sharing sessions and insight reports
- Develop AI-focused approaches that connect manufacturers’ transformation needs with the right technology and solution providers
- Give successful transformation cases from Türkiye international visibility through INCIT’s global network across more than 60 countries
- Continue to use SIRI and COSIRI to help Turkish manufacturers benchmark their maturity and prioritise action
INCIT looks forward to working closely with MEXT to strengthen Türkiye’s manufacturing competitiveness and showcase its transformation journey on the global stage.
