International Centre for Industrial Transformation (“INCIT”) and Izmir University of Economics (“IUE”) have joined hands to collectively drive innovation and address the evolving needs of manufacturers in Izmir, Türkiye.

Manufacturers today face numerous real-world challenges as they transition towards embracing and implementing new digital practices to enhance their organisational and operational efficiencies. The collaboration between INCIT and IUE aims to support manufacturers in the region as they navigate the complexities of Industry 4.0 and digital transformation.

ManuVate offers a central platform for streamlining the submission and resolution of digital challenges for both manufacturers and industry solution providers. Manufacturers in the region can submit their transformation challenges onto the platform, and industrial experts in IUE’s Masters and Doctoral programmes can lend their technical and academic expertise to help solve these real-world challenges.

Additionally, Professor Mehmet Gençer who specialises in Industrial Engineering will participate in an upcoming Certified Smart Industry Readiness Index (“SIRI”) Assessor Training Programme. This will equip him with the latest Industry 4.0 and digital transformation concepts and knowledge which can be transferred into enhancing the quality of his teachings.

IUE plays a pivotal role in Izmir with strong ties to numerous manufacturing companies in the region. The university’s established relationships with manufacturing companies ensures that the insights and solutions generated through ManuVate will be effectively integrated into practical applications to drive tangible outcomes.

This collaboration holds great potential for the advancements of both academic research and practical innovation within the industrial landscape.

Founded with the goal to spearhead global manufacturing transformation, the International Centre for Industrial Transformation (INCIT) champions the Industry 4.0 journeys of manufacturers, and advocates for the global rise of smart manufacturing.
