INCIT Presents at Rockwell Automation’s Annual Industry 4.0 and Innovation Conference

Wednesday, 12 June 2024, Singapore – The International Centre for Industrial Transformation (INCIT) was recently featured as an industry leader, participating in the panel discussion, Industry Forum: CPG & Life Sciences, at Rockwell Automation’s annual ROKLive event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Rockwell Automation is recognised globally as one of the leading companies in industrial automation and digital transformation. The annual event, ROKLive Southeast Asia, focused on industrial technology, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud-based manufacturing execution systems (MES), robotics, and cybersecurity.

Held on Thursday, 9 May 2024, the event empowered customers and partners through thought-provoking presentations and discussions, customer experience (CX) briefs, and an interactive expo, allowing attendees to explore how to revolutionise their business with the latest in cutting-edge solutions while avoiding pervasive manufacturing obstacles.

Southeast Asia becoming a manufacturing hub

The event was aptly held in Asia, termed the “world’s factory floor” by the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC), and hosted in Malaysia, an area of manufacturing growth.

Specifically, Southeast Asia continues to profit from United States (US)-China trade tensions that are changing the global supply chains in the region’s favour, making it a key region in the manufacturing space. According to the Boston Consulting Group, the areas’ new trade volumes could soar to US$1 trillion by 2031, with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) exports surging by over 90 per cent, roughly US$3.2 trillion, annually.

To capture this growth and stay competitive amidst the complexities of Industry 4.0 while promoting sustainable transformation, manufacturers can benefit from comprehensive frameworks and tools. Resources like INCIT’s Smart Industry Readiness Index (SIRI) and Consumer Sustainability Industry Readiness Index (COSIRI) can effectively support these transformation efforts.

A shared mission

Both INCIT and Rockwell Automation are committed to upholding and enabling manufacturing progress worldwide. Since 2020, INCIT has collaborated with Rockwell Automation, making Rockwell the first organisation in Singapore to have Certified SIRI Assessors. Additionally, Rockwell Automation has integrated COSIRI’s sustainability framework into their services earlier this year, providing expertise in both digital and sustainability transformation.
