Wednesday, 25 October 2023, Singapore – The International Centre for Industrial Transformation (INCIT) proudly took part in the Industrial Transformation Asia-Pacific (ITAP) 2023 tradeshow from 18 – 20 October 2023 as a silver partner, an event synonymous with innovation and industry excellence for the manufacturing sector. With a focus on practical solutions and meaningful engagements, our journey through ITAP was marked by valuable interactions and insightful dialogues.

From product showcases to collaborative discussions and comprehensive stage presentations, here is a recap of our experience at this year’s ITAP!

Day 1 at ITAP 2023: Pioneering partnerships and engaging presentations

The first day at ITAP 2023 was a definitive one, as it set a dynamic tone for INCIT’s participation. The event saw a distinguished delegation of federations from various countries visiting our booth. We had an amazing time engaging in discussions with industry representatives from Malaysia, Vietnam, China, India, South Korea, and more. We touched on key topics surrounding digital and sustainability transformations through the use of INCIT’s prioritisation indexes such as the Smart Industry Readiness Index (SIRI) and Consumer Sustainability Industry Readiness Index (COSIRI), as well as our newly-launched analytics platform XIRI-Analytics.

We also achieved an exciting milestone with the formal signing of a training partnership agreement with Temasek Polytechnic, solidifying their role as valued partners in the COSIRI training initiative.

With this collaboration, Temasek Polytechnic will now be one of our training partners, providing and empowering industry professionals and practitioners with ESG and sustainability training programmes by leveraging the COSIRI framework and its accompanying tools, concepts, and more.

This initiative also opens the doors to pushing forward-thinking and new sustainability concepts into tertiary education and academics in the future. Injecting sustainability into tertiary education is essential for preparing the workforce of the future.

INCIT’s COSIRI Platform Director also took part in the industry 4.0 Tech Capsule Stage, presenting the intricacies of COSIRI to a captivated audience. The audience’s avid interest and active engagement once again underscored the relevance and importance of sustainability and how the COSIRI initiative can help businesses in their transformation journeys as the industrial landscape evolves.

Day 2 at ITAP 2023: INCIT takes center stage

The second day at ITAP 2023 was marked by a surge in activity and engagement. Our booth saw a substantial increase in visits from trade visitors, industry professionals, delegates, federations, and partners.

A notable moment of the day was when our Founder and CEO, Raimund Klein, took the stage at the Industrial Transformation Forum (ITF), drawing an impressive crowd.

Raimund outlined our organisation’s mission and operations, with a special emphasis on sustainability initiatives. He delved into the intricacies of ESG ratings at an operational level, highlighting our commitment to driving sustainability in manufacturing. Introducing COSIRI to the audience, Raimund elucidated the framework, dimensions, building blocks, and pillars that form the bedrock of this transformative initiative.

This insightful presentation was not just a sustainability masterclass for the masses – it was also a reinforcement of our dedication to shape a more sustainable future for the manufacturing industry.

Day 3: A satisfying conclusion to an eventful trade show

The final day of ITAP 2023 saw a culmination of significant engagements and fruitful interactions for INCIT. Despite it being the final day, foot traffic remained high, and we were more than grateful to be able to expand our network with various industry professionals, trade visitors, and significant global figures.

In the morning, we signed a new agreement with our partner TÜV SÜD for COSIRI. TÜV SÜD will soon integrate COSIRI to launch comprehensive training and examination courses that will be publicly available for registration. This initiative not only elevates industry standards but also underscores our commitment to fostering a more sustainable and resilient future for businesses and individuals worldwide.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia and their esteemed delegates also paid our booth a visit in the afternoon. We had the privilege of meeting with Dr. Ir. Wahyu Otomo, MS, Deputy Minister for Regional Development and Spatial Planning Coordination. During this meeting, we expounded on the transformative potential of SIRI, COSIRI, and XIRI Analytics for countries in the Asia-Pacific region, highlighting the outsized role that INCIT can play in advancing industrial transformation and readiness.

As the event drew to a close, the resounding success of our participation at ITAP 2023 became evident. The remarkable engagement, insightful discussions, and invaluable connections forged over these three days have truly set the stage for future strides in the industrial landscape.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our training partner TÜV SÜD for their unwavering support and presence at our booth throughout the event. Their commitment, expertise, and dedication to sharing to the collective about SIRI and COSIRI, as well as the training and examination process for it, have played an important role in helping us spread the significance of these two critical prioritisation indexes with a wider audience.

Additionally, our special thanks and shoutout to our marketing partner, Manning & Co, for their contribution in constructing our booth and steadfast support for our Global Industry Executive Talks (GETIT) platform, which is designed for industry thought leaders and experts to connect and advance manufacturing transformation.
