INCIT Strategic Partnership with AIDSMO to Accelerate Arab Industrial Transformation

The International Centre for Industrial Transformation (INCIT) is pleased to announce the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Arab Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining Organization (AIDSMO). The agreement was signed on 30 September 2025 in Ben Guerir, Morocco, during the NextGen Manufacturing Summit “Africa”, hosted by Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P).

The agreement was formalised by Mr Raimund Klein, CEO of INCIT, and Eng. Tawfik Al-Rubaie, Assistant Director General of AIDMO, signifying a shared commitment to support inclusive and sustainable industrial development across AIDSMO Member States.

Supporting MSMEs and Enabling Digital Transformation

This strategic collaboration focuses on empowering micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and manufacturers of all sizes to embrace Industry 4.0 through globally recognised transformation frameworks. Central to the partnership is the deployment of INCIT’s two flagship indices:

  • The Operational Excellence Readiness Index (OPERI) – a diagnostic tool designed to help MSMEs and small businesses assess and improve operational capabilities, productivity, and readiness for digitalisation.
  • The Smart Industry Readiness Index (SIRI) – an internationally recognised framework that enables manufacturers to initiate, scale, and sustain digital transformation initiatives in a structured and strategic manner.

By integrating these frameworks into AIDSMO’s regional development agenda, the two organisations aim to help industrial stakeholders enhance competitiveness, drive efficiency, and adopt future-ready technologies.

Capacity Building and Skills Development

In addition to transformation tools, the agreement outlines collaboration on capacity-building projects, awareness-raising activities, and the co-development of tailored training programmes. These initiatives will focus on developing human capital and strengthening institutional capabilities across AIDSMO Member States, with a particular emphasis on scaling up sustainable manufacturing practices.

INCIT and AIDSMO will also work together for the purpose of delivering multi-sectoral industrial capacity programmes.

A Shared Vision for Sustainable Industrial Growth

The signing of this agreement reflects both organisations’ commitment to accelerating sustainable industrial growth in line with international best practices. It also aligns with the objectives of the NextGen Manufacturing Summit “Africa”, which convened leading voices in industry, academia, and government to explore the evolving African industrial landscape and the region’s role in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Implementation of the agreement’s objectives will be led on AIDSMO’s side by the Arab Institute for Training and Industrial and Mining Consulting, a key subsidiary focused on technical assistance and professional development in the region.
