The Technology and Innovation domain within INCIT’s Advisory Board plays a critical role in shaping the digital future of global manufacturing. This domain provides strategic oversight on emerging technologies—such as cybersecurity, data governance, and Industry X.0—and guides the development of secure, adaptive, and future-ready industrial ecosystems.

Prof. Dr. David Romero

Professor of Advanced Manufacturing, Tecnológico de Monterrey University

Prof. Dr. David Romero is a Professor of Advanced Manufacturing at Tecnológico de Monterrey University, Mexico, and the Scientific Vice-Chairman for the World Manufacturing Foundation. His research focuses on Circular Manufacturing, Service Engineering, Cyber-Physical Systems, Advanced Production Management, and Technology and Engineering Management in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. He is actively involved with several prominent organisations, including the Society of Collaborative Networks, the IFAC TC5.3 on Enterprise Integration, and the IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society.

Prof. Dr. David Romero is also an Agenda Contributor at the World Economic Forum’s Council on “Shaping the Future of Advanced Manufacturing and Value Chains” and a World Manufacturing Forum Ambassador. With over 200 published articles, he serves on numerous technical and scientific committees across academia, industry, and government. His current work promotes the concepts of “Operator 4.0/5.0” and “Digital Lean Manufacturing,” both of which he pioneered.

Dr. Adel Ben Youssef

Professor of Economics, University Côte d’Azur

Dr. Adel Ben Youssef is a renowned expert in digitalisation and green transformation, blending innovation with sustainability. As an economist and member of GREDEG CNRS at Université Côte d’Azur, he has advanced digital and ecological strategies globally. He co-founded the African Association of AI and Industry 4.0 and collaborates with the Economic Research Forum, promoting sustainable practices in Africa and the Middle East.

Dr. Adel Ben Youssef has advised organisations like UNIDO, UNDP, and UN-HABITAT, shaping strategies for Industry 4.0, skills development, and sustainability. A key negotiator for Tunisia at UN climate conferences (COP 23–29), he championed integrating digital advancements with climate goals. Ranked in the top 2% of researchers globally, his 100+ publications influence the future of sustainable digital transitions. Combining academic insight and strategic leadership, he is a driving force in the convergence of digital and green innovations worldwide.

Dr. Dominic Gorecky

Co-Founder & Director, Swiss Smart Factory

Dr. Dominic Gorecky is a partner and executive board member at Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne AG, and the founding director of the Swiss Smart Factory and Swiss HealthTech Center. A pioneer in smart manufacturing, he also founded the International Smart Factory Academy (IFSA) and co-founded the Swiss Cobotics Competence Center (S3C), where he serves as President. Previously, he led research at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), heading the Innovative Factory Systems department and coordinating the SmartFactoryKL living lab.

Dr. Dominic Gorecky contributes to the World Economic Forum agenda and advises Industry 4.0 start-ups in AI and smart manufacturing. He co-founded the Swiss CxO Forum and chairs both the International Smart Factory Summit and the International Humanoid Forum. As a member of the SATW Expert Group on Industry 4.0, he helps shape Switzerland’s industrial innovation strategy. Recognised as a 2022 Digital Shaper, Dominic is committed to sustainable digital transformation and education in emerging technologies.

Jeff Winter

Vice President of Business Strategy, Critical Manufacturing

Mr. Jeff Winter is the Vice President of Business Strategy for Critical Manufacturing, where he leads strategic growth initiatives and business development while positioning the company as a global leader in MES technology. With 20 years of experience working for different industrial automation product and solution providers, Jeff has a unique ability to simplify and communicate complex concepts to a wide range of audiences, educating and inspiring people from the shop floor up to the executive board room.

Mr. Jeff Winter is also highly active in the Industry 4.0 community. He serves on the Executive board for International Society of Automation (ISA), the International Board of Directors for MESA (Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association), a U.S. registered expert for the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) as a member of TC 65, and as a Smart Manufacturing Advisor to CESMII.

Dr. Milan Kumar

Chief Information Officer (CIO), ZF Commercial Vehicles

Dr. Milan Kumar is a distinguished figure in the field of global technology as a Global Chief Information and Digital Officer (CDIO), renowned as a TEDx speaker, educator, international author, and startups mentor. He currently serves as the CIO of ZF Commercial Vehicles, a leading supplier of technologies and services that enhance the safety, efficiency, and connectivity of commercial vehicles, based in Bern, Switzerland.

Dr. Kumar has a wealth of experience in senior IT leadership roles, having previously acted as the CIO and CDO, as well as a board member at WABCO (NYSE :WBC). He also served as the CDO and CIO at NTL (a NTT Group company), where he consulted numerous Fortune 1000 companies with their digital transformation journey.

Before this, Dr. Kumar held several high-ranking IT leadership positions within the VOLKSWAGEN group in Europe and India, including CIO/ Director and Board Member of Volkswagen IT Services IPL, where he co-founded Volkswagen’s global IT delivery center in India, supporting various brands like Audi, Porsche, Bentley, Scania, MAN, and others worldwide in their manufacturing plants and dealership networks.

Throughout his career, Dr. Kumar has supported technology transformation of many Fortune 500 companies such as VOLKSWAGEN Group, ZF Group, BMW Group, General Motors, British Airways, Reliance, Atlas Copco, VISA, Morgan Stanley to name a few.

Dr. Kumar’s academic achievements include a PhD in AI Management and completion of the “Driving Growth Through Innovation” at the Harvard Business School. He has been recognized with numerous awards, including the “Swiss CIO of the Year,” “Global Digital CIO,” and “CIO Excellence Award” from Economics Times.

Additionally, Dr. Kumar is a TEDx & Global Keynote Speaker and an avid technical writer with his articles being published in various CIO magazines, Springer, World Economic Forum (WEF), MIT etc. He has also authored three internationally acclaimed books as part of his CIO Series – “Smart Factory”, “Immersive and Augmented Analytics”,” Intelligent Robotics PA”, “Kumar-de-Brabandt AI Data Economy Model” a copyright/patented framework
