COSIRI: Igniting Transformative Change

Learning the key concepts is an essential first step in any transformation journey, but that alone is not enough. Companies must next evaluate the current state of their manufacturing facilities.

3B Maturity Benchmark

The 3B Maturity Benchmark provides a high-level reference point for the company to compare their performance against the Best-in-Class, in the Broad Middle, or at the Bottom. This gives companies a whole-of-manufacturing sector benchmark across the 24 dimensions which they can use this insight to plot their way towards being the industry’s best.

Industry Performance Card

The state of transformation can be highly industry-specific, often heavily influenced by factors like product nature/volume, complexity of manufacturing processes, and competitive dynamics. Macroeconomic trends also influence business conditions and operating environments of various industries in different ways. Hence, beyond the sector-wide 3B Maturity Benchmark, companies can also reference our Industry Performance Cards (IPC), which are industry-specific benchmarks. These offer more apples-to-apples comparisons for companies to assess how they fare against their industry peers.

Star Emblem System

COSIRI creates a readable Star Emblem system to verify the company’s Net Zero transformation stage. This system indirectly takes into account various aspects of consumer behaviour, such as a consumer’s sustainability values and beliefs, purchasing behaviour, and willingness to pay a premium for sustainable products to minimise the impact on the environment. The official Star Emblem – valid for two years – will be given to the company after the completion of the COSIRI assessment. This emblem provides a quick overview of a company’s sustainability performance. The Star rating is derived by taking the average of four pillars under Sustainable Business Process, capped to the maximum score of Operation – Green House Gas Emission. Companies that include supplier companies in the assessment will receive a Star Emblem colored differently from companies that did not include. Assessed companies are encouraged to disclose their Star emblem as part of their sustainability reporting.
